The Government of Canada has launched a new immersive marketing campaign to promote International Experience Canada (IEC)—a program that allows young Canadians (ages 18-35) to work and travel abroad. This initiative aims to broaden horizons, build global skills, and enhance career competitiveness in an increasingly interconnected world.
What is International Experience Canada (IEC)?
IEC provides young Canadians with opportunities to:
- Work and travel abroad in one of over 35 partner countries.
- Gain international work experience to enhance their career prospects.
- Immerse themselves in new cultures and global job markets.
Through reciprocal agreements, IEC also allows international youth to work and travel in Canada, fostering cultural exchange and economic opportunities.
About the New Campaign
- Interactive In-Person Exhibits
- IEC will host immersive pop-up exhibits in Toronto and Vancouver to give Canadian youth a glimpse into life abroad.
- These exhibits will showcase five IEC partner destinations:
- Belgium
- Finland
- Italy
- South Korea
- New Zealand
- Attendees will experience culture, job opportunities, and lifestyle previews of these countries.
- Nationwide Digital Experience
- Can’t attend in person? A digital platformwill allow youth across Canada to:
- Explore IEC partner countries online.
- Receive customized destination matches based on their interests and career goals.
