On April 22, 2020, Immigration Canada announced that international students are allowed to work over 20 hours per week while classes are in session. This is limited to students who are working in an essential service, such as health care, critical infrastructure , or the supply of food or other critical goods.
Th Government recognizes that during the COVID-19 outbreak, international students who are already in Canada can be of help to workers in certain industries who are working under pressure. Many of these students are studying health, and emergency related programs, they are fully trained, and ready to graduate.
